About

Some people know me as Tsuki. Others as Pip. I respond to both!

I am a recent graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University with a degree in Urban Studies. I found myself in that major because I liked thinking critically about my neighborhood and community — about why urban inequalities persist and how we can problem-solve with the power of a collective.

I am fueled by the creative process of non-fiction storytelling, whether it’s leading with curiosity and asking questions in interviews, finding powerful soundbites, crafting a narrative arc, or using media to bring stories to life. I am interested in stories about a range of topics: food culture, the criminal justice system, housing and urban development, immigration, and more.

Aside from media and journalism, I love cooking with my mom, running in Riverside Park, hanging out with my dog Pimmsie, and watching the New York Times Cooking “On the Job” video series.
