Bodega Behavior
The bodega is a familiar neighborhood spot for many New Yorkers. But we don't often stop to think about the role they play in our lives, beyond the momentary interactions at the register. In taking us from the early morning to late at night at Gourmet Deli, this episode unpacks the complicated dynamics that bodegas navigate around community safety, security, and trust.
This podcast was produced in partial fulfillment of my senior thesis for the Urban Studies program at Barnard College.
